The staff was very friendly. The rooms are modernly renovated, but the original character of the hotel has been preserved.
The price for the regular breakfast (40 CHF) is clearly too high.

Gorgeous and fantastic place to stay in Geneva. A huge variety of food for breakfast including pastries, cheese, and meats.- Spotless and updated rooms with a magnificent view.- Supper friendly, exceptionally nice people working here.- Great and incredible location, really quiet area.- Very easy to get from Cointrin airport, just 10 km away.

location is perfect, free upgrade to larger room (no known reasons). this new room was big and nicely / modern design decorated.
upgrade was delivered by the receptionist with the face like ' I don't know why you have it, must be a mistake'. during breakfast the old lady serving cups was also cleaning the tables - using big dirty rag - not even removing the table tops. No room service after 10 pm. same receptionist answered rather angry when I called him for asking about snacks. 5 start service? forget it..
